TODAY'S DATE

How Date Calculators Work

Date calculation is the process of finding a specific date by adding or subtracting a number of days, weeks, months, or years from a known date. Our tools perform these calculations instantly and accurately, automatically accounting for leap years, months with different lengths (28–31 days), and the fact that not all years have the same number of weeks.

The four most common date calculations are:

  • Days from today — Adding a set number of days to today's date to find a future date. For example, "what date is 30 days from today?" or "what day is 90 days from now?"
  • Days ago — Subtracting days from today to find a past date. For example, "what was the date 60 days ago?" or "what happened 2 weeks ago?"
  • Age calculation — Finding the number of complete years, months, and days between a birth date and today. Exact age to the day, not just the year.
  • Date difference — Counting the number of days between any two specific dates. Useful for project planning, billing periods, and contract durations.

All CalculatorF date tools update automatically to today's date, so every answer you see reflects the current date — no manual adjustments needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Using our Days From Today calculator, 30 days from today (September 6, 2026) is October 6, 2026. The calculator automatically adds exactly 30 calendar days, accounting for the different lengths of each month.
To find how many days ago a specific date was, use our Days Ago Calculator. It subtracts the chosen number of days from today's date and tells you the exact past date. For example, 30 days ago from today (September 6, 2026) was August 7, 2026.
Calendar days count every day, including weekends and public holidays. Business days (also called working days) count only Monday through Friday, excluding weekends. For example, 10 calendar days may include 2 weekend days, leaving only 8 business days. Our Date Difference calculator lets you switch between both.
Our Age Calculator takes your date of birth, subtracts it from today's date, and converts the result into years, months, weeks, and days. For example, someone born on January 1, 2000 is approximately 9,745 days old as of September 2026. The exact number updates each day.
A standard calendar year has 365 days. A leap year — which occurs every 4 years when the year is divisible by 4 (with some exceptions for century years) — has 366 days, with the extra day falling on February 29. All CalculatorF date tools account for leap years automatically.
Yes — our Day of the Week calculator tells you the weekday (Monday through Sunday) for any date, past or future. Enter any date and it instantly shows the day name, the week number of the year, and the day number of the year.
